But even in my own situation i find myself wanting to hold my GF in public. i dont want to be all over her or making out with her all i want is to be able to put my arms around her if we go to a park or if we are walking around someplace. I dislike PDA myself to an extent because once you notice someone doing something like french kissing in the middle of a class room it more than just a tad bit distracting. but like i sad id also like to be able to hold the person that im with without any complications so im torn when it comes to this subject. Me and my girlfriend were just fighting over this. She is "into" Public displays of affection. Not making out in public mind you, but a little more than I am comfortable with. I have always felt it was disrespectful and inappropriate. Anyway, I told her that and apparently what I said was "I am ashamed to be with you." That being said, I believe these feelings stem from low self-esteem which she harbors. In her mind, any instance where I am not showing my affection for her, I like her less. I have tried to get her to understand that I love her despite everything but she just can't seem to accept it. Anyway, I digress. I have always felt that PDA is improper. Not necessarily the acts themselves but the mode in which they are carried out. One shouldn't have to flaunt love in order to believe in it, or to be in it. Love is so much more than the physical. And people need to be more respectful of each other. You might not agree but love is a private matter. Strangers on the street do not need to be bombarded by your love and if you must do such things... you might need to deal with the reasons behind the problem. I am not talking about hand holding. I would agree with my girlfriend that a peck is okay in public. But beyond that are you really showing love? Or does the spectacle do something for you? This is interesting.
