In Memory of the 9th of November

As I write this post, a tape of memories is running in front of my eyes. I can vividly recall sadness and tears, frightened faces, and a lot of blood and damage everywhere. My eyes were teary, and I really could not help myself from crying as I watched the brutal images over and over again. I felt sorry for the poor, innocent people who came in expecting to have a good time, but instead came out with major disappointment and shock, that is assuming they stayed alive.

November 9, 2005 showed me some ugly faces of people trying to steal the happiness from others, but it also showed me some other brave faces of people who did not give up under such harsh conditions. It might have been an unfortunate day -at least 59 were dead and 115 injured- but it made many of us open up our minds, and we realized how strong and powerful we are as we stand united against any acts of violence targeting our lovely Jordan.

Bless Jordan and the people of Jordan, and may Allah always guard and protect it from any harm. And to the families of the lost souls I say: May they all rest in peace, and may you be given patience and strength.
