So Google is in talks to acquire YouTube for roughly $1.6 billion. “A deal that could put search giant in top spot for online video; a front door for web visits.” Other technology, media, and entertainment companies have shown interest in taking stakes in YouTube as well, which means Google will be on the leading spot at a time when internet video advertising is booming, and consumers are rapidly increasing. The talks are not yet confirmed, but it sure will change things for Google once the event actually takes place.
What amazes me the most is how a young company such as Google, which has been started by two 29 year-olds, managed to become a leader among web browsers and search engines in a short period of time. All it took was two creative minds to come up with new ideas and of course, a lot of money.
To me, they represent the definition of success. Their skills combined with their opportunities have put them on top of the pyramid. I admire people who know how to grab their chances rather than sitting back and relying on luck. Finally, we are yet to see how Yahoo will be affected by the deal.

Interesting.
I haven’t figured out how Google makes all that money yet. Advertisements?

Yes, mostly advertisements. Plus it is now a well known company that does more than just simple search. It provides different features such as Google Earth and such in which people are interested. Reputation
